Hi Cindy, Whole milk is preferred for creamiest texture in that recipe, but 1/2 cup heavy cream and 1/2 cup whole milk is fantastic too.

Is that correct? Is it because of the creamy goat cheese?

I used diced red bell pepper, bacon, spinach, caramelized red onions with balsamic, and fontinella cheese.
Delicious!

I’m going to try it this weekend & making it with “Country Ham”, crumbled cooked bacon, mixed Bell Peppers, green onion, & extra-sharp cheddar cheese!…cannot wait to try it! Can you recommend any other ingredients to make this? I’ll post how it turns out!

I did use a 1/3 c sour cream and filled in the rest with milk. Came out fine just slightly more savory in taste as this is a substitute for buttermilk.
