I need to work on shaping the individual pastries and getting the right size print for the filling, but that’s on me. Delicious, flaky, and oh so fancy!

Hi Theresa, this dough is a perfect base for savory fillings. Let us know what fillings you try!

Could you do that with these?

Hi Amy, you fill them before baking. See step 11 in the recipe card. Enjoy!

If you fill with curd or jam do you do that before or after baking?

Hi Amy, we haven’t tested a baked chocolate filling, although chocolate ganache would be fantastic here. For a ganache filling, fill them after baking. The centers will puff up without a filling inside, so when they’re finished baking and are still warm, use the back of a spoon to press the center back down. Let us know if you try it!

Could I make a ganache like in the chocolate hand pies and bake in the pastry or can it only be added after. Would appreciate a suggestion for a chocolate filling that could be baked in like the other flavors.
